Shockwave Therapy
Using high-energy acoustic waves, shockwave therapy penetrates the soft tissues, targeting damaged areas and subsequently stimulating new blood vessel growth and regeneration in recent or chronic muscle, tendon and ligament injuries. This therapy is able to treat a wide variety of issues including plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, shin splints, bursitis, frozen shoulder, bone spurs and more.

What can I expect for my first Shockwave Therapy treatment?
The primary area of pain is located and a skin gel is applied to the treatment area to allow the shock waves to be properly transmitted into the body. Typically, patients experience a reduction in pain after the first treatment and see significant improvements after three or four sessions. While there may be some discomfort during treatment – typically only lasting five minutes – many people feel no discomfort at all.
What can I expect after my first Shockwave Therapy treatment?
After treatment you may experience a light throbbing pain for up to 48 hours. In rare cases, patients may experience temporary reddening of the skin, pain or worsening of symptoms during the first few days after treatment.
