Personal Training

Research continues to show that working one-on-one with a personal trainer generates results more quickly, more efficiently, and with fewer injuries than training on your own. Perhaps most importantly, working with a personal trainer can provide you with the motivation needed to reach and maintain your health and fitness goals.

The benefits of working with a Personal Trainer include: weight loss, muscle sculpting, injury recovery, improved athletic performance, reduction of health risks and improved response to stress. In addition to Personal (1-on-1) Training, we also offer Partner Training, Small Group Training and a personalized Program to Go.

As of June 15, 2020, we are offering Outdoor & Virtual Training options. For clients who are not yet ready to return to in-studio training, we are offering training sessions outdoors – including in our covered parkade during the Fall and Winter months – and virtually (via Zoom). For those experiencing a sore throat, dry cough or runny nose but are otherwise well, in an effort to avoid losing out on training, you can change your in-studio sessions to virtual training, allowing you to train while isolating at home until you are ready to resume in-studio training.

How is Body & Soul Different?

Our commitment to personalized training is reflected in the quality of our individually planned programs and workouts. Our university educated or equivalent personal trainers take each client’s individual goals, abilities and preferences into consideration when designing their program and workouts. And, when any of these things change, your trainer will modify your program/workouts accordingly. Come in for a Consultation and find out how we can help you achieve your health and fitness goals.

What to Expect

Following the completion of a thorough Health Assessment, your trainer will design a fitness program that will assist you in achieving your individual fitness goals. Typical one-hour training sessions include:

  • cardiovascular intervals
  • strength conditioning and balance training
  • stretching and flexibility

We encourage our clients to complete reassessments to help them track their progress. Reassessments are also a great tool to help clients identify new areas to work on and new goals to work towards with their personal trainer. At Body & Soul, we believe that health and fitness is a journey.
