Health Assessment
A Body & Soul health assessment is an in-depth, detailed analysis of your current physical fitness and health. Your assessment will include a 60-minute assessment appointment with one of our personal trainers.
You will be taken through an assessment that uses the most up-to-date tools and techniques to provide a comprehensive and complete assessment of your health and fitness. Your assessment will include:
- Evaluation of your cardiovascular fitness and musculoskeletal fitness
- Assessment of your current level of balance, strength, and flexibility
- Calculation of body composition (fat, muscle, bone)
- Measurement of blood pressure and resting heart rate
- Determination of BMI and waist girth/circumference
Following your initial appointment, you will be provided with a detailed printed report of your results. You also have the option to schedule a follow up appointment to go through your results with one of our personal trainers in detail.
Why should I have a health assessment?
Regular assessments provide an objective and concrete measure of your health and fitness, something that mirrors and bathroom scales can’t do! If you are currently engaged in a fitness program, an assessment will provide an objective measure of your progress and results. If you are not currently following a fitness program, an initial assessment will help you determine which areas of your health and fitness are good, which require improvement, and if working with a personal trainer could be beneficial for you.
Who should get a health assessment?
We believe that everyone should know where they are at with their health and fitness. If you are at all concerned about your health and/or fitness – you should get an assessment. If you have recently suffered an injury or change in health – you should get an assessment. If you need a little extra motivation to getting committed to pursuing a healthy and active lifestyle – you should get an assessment! We require that all new Personal Training clients perform an assessment before commencing training at our facility. In this case, health assessments provide trainers with the information they need to tailor a workout to perfectly fit each client’s individual goals and abilities.
How often should I get reassessed?
Your trainer will work with you to identify how frequently you should be reassessed. Reassessments will provide you with a strong representation of how your training has helped you achieve or come closer to achieving your goals.
