What is motivation and what does it mean to you?
Whether in our work, school or personal life, we all seek motivation in our own way. For some of us, motivation comes easily and we are self-motivated. On the other hand, some of us rely on motivation from others.
Motivation begins with a decision to make a change and in the end it’s up to us to decide how we want to tackle it. If your goal is to eat healthier each day or to exercise more frequently, try to identify what triggers that motivation to reach your goal. Perhaps it’s to be a role model for your children? Or maybe it’s a recommendation from your doctor? Or it could simply be to look and feel great for your next vacation!
Choosing to make a change in your lifestyle can be quite difficult to wrap your head around and it may result in failure from a lack of commitment.In such cases. surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who have similar healthy lifestyle choices is a great way to stay motivated. At times, we may forget why we’re making the change and may lose track of our goals, but having someone around to challenge you and maintain your commitment can provide continuing motivation.
