While nothing beats the sweet taste of fresh fruits and veggies, there are several reasons one might opt for frozen options.

The primary benefit to frozen produce is undeniably the fact that the food will not spoil in a matter of days compared to fresh fruit, but do frozen options provide the same nutritional value as fresh? As they are picked (and prepared to be frozen) at peak ripeness, frozen fruits are often more nutritious!2 It is also an added benefit for the environment as – according to the WHO – one-third of food produced for human consumption is wasted.
