This exercise is a compound movement as it’s targeting more than one muscle group. The single-arm row exercise targets a lot of the posterior chain but mainly the latissimus dorsi (lats) and it also targets the biceps and shoulders.

The main issue people have while performing this exercise is having their back hunched over, with rounded shoulders. It’s important to have a straight back with head in line and shoulders back. * For this exercise a bench and dumbbell are required.
