Kids are back in school and you know what that means — germs are making their way around! As the weather begins to cool down, the last thing you want to do is battle a cold.

To fight infections your body needs an army of immunity boosting foods and nutrients. Probiotics – for example – are a great way to help boost your immunity by ensuring a balance between good and bad bacteria in the gut (i.e. many yogurts contain probiotics). Some other nutrients which experts believe have infection-fighting properties include garlic, ginseng and aloe vera; more studies are being done to better understand the role these nutrients play in fighting infections.

It is always better to be safe than sorry — be sure to drink plenty of fluids and always get a good night of sleep!
