On Tuesday September 7th, BC’s Provincial Health Officer (PHO) Dr. Bonnie Henry provided more information about the BC Vaccine Card. This order will go into effect on Monday September 13th and will require clients to show proof of their vaccination status to continue training in the studio. Clients will need to have their first dose by September 13th and their second dose by Sunday October 24th.
Clients should be prepared to show proof of vaccination to our Front Desk Team starting Monday September 13th. If you are fully vaccinated, you will only need to show your proof of vaccination once – we will keep track of your status so that you don’t need to show your proof each time you come to the studio. Those who are only partially vaccinated by September 13th will also be required to show proof of their second dose by October 24th. Officials say there will be a transition period until Sept. 26 for vaccinated people to obtain their card. During this time, the paper record provided at vaccine clinics will be an acceptable form of proof.
We want to assure clients who are unable to receive a vaccination, as well as those who choose not to be vaccinated, that we are committed to continue serving you; however, in order to comply with the provincial health order, we will need to provide your training sessions either outdoors or virtually.
As a reminder, we also provide the following options to all clients:
- Customized Home Programs – workout on your own with a program created by your trainer (using the Trainer+ app)
- Generic Programs – workout on your own using a generic program (no cost, access here)
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. On behalf of Body & Soul, we want to thank you for your continued support and loyalty.
