

Gavin Bock (Personal Trainer & Bootcamp Instructor)
CPT-BCRPA
Gavin is a BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer and comes to Body & Soul with a strong background in hockey. He has been a minor league hockey coach for four years and has extensive experience training and conditioning youth hockey players. He is currently completing a biology degree at UBC.
As a personal trainer, Gavin enjoys working with people who want to improve their performance in recreational or competitive sports. He tends to focus on functional strength training exercises and enjoys introducing his clients to new exercises and challenging them to work outside their comfort zones. He has recently taken up dancing lessons.
Fun Fact: Gavin has recently added long walks to his own training routine, thanks to his new rescue dog, Walter.

Isabel Verse (Personal Trainer & Pilates Instructor)

Isabel has a Master’s degree in Fitness and Business; specialized training in rehabilitation, nutrition, and health psychology; and is a Pilates instructor.
Specializing in a holistic approach to personal training, Isabel combines her knowledge of fitness, nutrition and health psychology to provide her clients with the tools they need to make complete health and lifestyle changes. In addition to Personal Training, Isabel is also available for one-on-one Pilates sessions.
Fun Fact: Isabel was born in Canada but grew up in Germany. She moved back in 2009 to finally get to know the country in which she was born.

Jennifer Leski (Personal Trainer & Nutritionist)

Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from UBC, a diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and is a registered Yoga Instructor (RYT-200hr). She is a Can-Fit-Pro Personal Training Specialist with experience working in a wellness centre and in a Cardiac rehab facility.
Jennifer believes in a holistic approach to personal training and incorporates aspects of functional fitness, yoga, mind-body techniques, and nutrition into her programs for overall well-being. She enjoys helping clients achieve balance, stability and strength, both physically and mentally. Jennifer has a special interest in working with seniors.
Fun Fact: Jennifer loves to cook and enjoys creating new recipes using fresh and local ingredients.

Jessi Schlegel (Personal Trainer)
CPT | Dip.Ed | VST
Educated as both a P.E. teacher and a sports therapist in Germany, Jessi’s studies focused on post-injury rehabilitation, pain treatment in sports therapy, and neurology/cardiology fitness. Jessi is licensed to provide personal training following a heart attack.
Teaching people how to achieve and maintain a versatile, healthier lifestyle is Jessi’s first priority. Other priorities are providing people who suffer from injury or chronic pain with the tools and knowledge to improve/manage their condition, and improving the strength, balance and cardio fitness of those who are already healthy.
Fun Fact: Jessi rescues and fosters dogs in need and is currently studying part-time time to become a veterinarian.

Juergen Reinhardt (Personal Trainer)
CPT-BCRPA | B.PT | CMT
Juergen is a German trained physiotherapist, manual therapist, and sports instructor specializing in sports therapy. He is also a Nordic walking instructor.
Juergen takes a technical approach to personal training, drawing from his extensive background and training in physiotherapy, sports therapy and personal training. He has a special interest in rehabilitation training following illness or injury.
Fun Fact: Juergen is Body & Soul’s most senior employee, having spent almost 10 years faithfully helping our clients meet their health and fitness goals.

Marcia Denhoed (Personal Trainer)
B.HKin
Marcia is a graduate of the UBC Human Kinetics program and has worked as a Personal Trainer and Spinning Instructor. She has experience working with a variety of clients from competitive athletes to those who have never set foot in a gym.
Marcia strives to work closely with clients to match her training approach to their goals. She believes workouts should be fun and dynamic, so she combines functional strength training, intervals and novel challenges to ensure clients work hard and learn new skills. Marcia hopes that the motivation clients achieve from their workouts carries over to create positive changes in other aspects of their lives.
Fun Fact: In 2011 Marcia visited 48 cities in 9 countries covering a distance of 55,841 km.

Michelle Wong (Personal Trainer)
CPT-BCRPA | GF-BCRPA | PPFS | Dip.SS
Michelle has a diploma in Sport Science from Douglas College, is a BCRPA certified Personal Trainer, a certified Pre and Postnatal Fitness Specialist, and has been a BCRPA certified Group Fitness Instructor since 2001. She has played competitive tennis, volleyball, and softball.
Michelle’s goal is to make exercise fun by sharing her love for fitness one smile and one drop of sweat at a time. She is attentive and prides herself on listening to each client’s specific needs and goals, and working to take them to the next level in their fitness.
Fun Fact: When her hair is in a ponytail, the colour of Michelle’s hair elastic will match at least one thing she’s wearing… maybe even her shoes!

William Reed (Personal Trainer)
CPT-CSEP | B.HKin
William has a Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Kinesiology and Health Sciences and is a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer. He previously worked as an Athletic Trainer with the UBC Women’s Varsity Basketball team and has extensive sport related training experience in Soccer and Basketball.
William enjoys working with clients of all ages and abilities. He likes to have fun and make sure his clients get a good workout in, but most of all he loves to encourage others to do their best.
Fun Fact: William grew up in both Canada and Germany and loves big adventures in the open air.

Wyatt Seddon-Johnstone (Personal Trainer & Bootcamp Instructor)
B.Sc ES/Kin
Wyatt has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from Seattle Pacific University, has worked as a physiotherapy assistant, and has a community coaching certificate in soccer.
Wyatt pushes his clients to reach their highest potential while teaching them proper technique and how to work hard; all this while still having fun with his clients and bootcamp participants. His dynamic personality, high level of knowledge and ability to teach and entertain makes him an all-round great trainer.
Fun Fact: Wild, wacky, and wonderful Wyatt – king of the bootcamp, master trainer – Wyatt does it all.
